(RFU)?
The HP LaserJet Printer Remote Firmware Update file availabl
from the HP web site contains firmware for the printer, embedde
JetDirect (if applicable), HP paper handling accessories used wit
the device in one convenient download file. When the Remot
Firmware Upgrade file is sent to the HP LaserJet Printer firmwar
for the engine and all connected accessories are upgraded.

your printer periodically through its supported lifecycle.

Determining the current version level of you
firmware
device:
1. Go to the printer's control panel.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the arrow keys and select the INFORMATION selection.
4. Press OK.
5. Use the arrow keys and select the PRINT CONFIGURATIO
selection.
6. Press the OK button to print the Configuration Page.
On the printed CONFIGURATION page look in the section marke
"Device Information" for the firmware date code. The firmware dat
code will look something like this: 20111212 04.150.
