HP PSC 700 Series Software AOL 8 Fix for Windows 98, 98SE, and ME

This utility has the following additional requirements:

  • It will only operate correctly under Windows 98, 98 SE, an
    ME.
  • It will NOT work on Windows 2000, X
    Home, or XP Professional, or the Macintosh OS's.
  • This patch will only work with hp psc 700 series drivers olde
    then version 3.00 such as
    • version 1.0.2 (a12.00.16)
    • version 1.0.1 (a12.00.16)
    • version 1.0.0 (a12.00.16)
  • This patch will NOT work on the drive
    version 3.00 or newer.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: This is not a self-installing patch. It requires the use
to manually replace the original file with this new one.

  1. Download the file, hpoaol07.exe to a local drive. Make not
    where (in which folder) the file gets copied.
  2. In Windows Explorer (or by some equivalent means) go to th
    folder where hpoaol07.exe was copied, right click on "hpoaol07.exe
    and select "copy"
  3. Browse to the location of the old installed hpoaol07.exe file
    The default is:
    C:Program FilesHewlett-Packardhp psc 700 seriesin
  4. Right-click on this folder and select "Paste"
  5. When the "Confirm File Replace" dialog appears, confirm tha
    the replacement file is newer and then select [yes].
  6. Manual installation is complete.
