bi-directional communication of the parallel (LPT) interface. Som
larger, more complex jobs may need more time to process and prin
due to the increased communication traffic over the paralle
interface.

Below are easy-to-follow instructions for downloading an
installing the Screen Reader Accessibility for Status and Alert
software
  • Before proceeding with the software installation, the printe
    must first be properly set up, and the printer drivers must b
    already installed, and your computer must be ready to print.
  • Download the file to a folder on your hard drive.
  • Close any screen savers, virus protection programs, or an
    other software programs that are running on your computer.
  • Go to the folder where you downloaded the software and doubl
    click the file to extract the files.
  • Go to the folder where these files were extracted to, fo
    example c:lj1080, and double click on the setup.exe file to star
    the installation process. During the install process you will b
    asked to select options for "Display status window when." W
    suggest you select all of the options for Screen Reade
    Accessibility.
  • You only need to install this software once on each compute
    for all HP LaserJet printers connected, either on the network o
    direct.
  • Open the "Job Status and Alerts" software. We suggest yo
    review each of the options for status and alerts and select th
    ones you wish to receive for your printer.
